Music and the mind

Organiser Banner

Overview

One of the most exciting areas of brain research relates to the effect of listening to and playing music. Studies indicate it can help our brains to function, to develop and even to prevent their decline. What's more, it's enjoyable and we can all benefit, whatever age we are.

This webinar will aim to:

  • Highlight the potential of music for both brain health and mental health,

  • Illustrate how music can play a role to support other pillars of mental health,

  • Show through music how a shift in mindset can lead to personal and professional development and benefits,

  • Illustrate how inclusive and accessible the benefits of learning, playing and listening to music are, and

  • Dispel some common myths.
