Introducing compassion focused therapy

Organiser Banner

Overview

Introducing Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) is a four-part on-demand webinar recording series designed to introduce participants to the evolutionary-based theory behind compassion focused therapy, the psycheducational components of CFT, and the skills development aspects of CFT. The series begins with defining compassion, understanding the three flows of compassion, as well as the fears, blocks and resistances to compassion, and some of the core principles of this approach.

From there the series highlights some of the processes and practices of CFT, inviting participants to implement these practices into their work. Following this, the it will bring those practices to the development of the compassionate self, as well as how to use the compassionate self with different aspects of the self, known as multiplicity.

The overall goal of this series is for participants to build awareness and understanding of CFT, what it is, what it has to offer, and some practical skills that they can bring into their work with clients.
