Users of the APS Online Learning Portal must read and accept all of the Terms and Conditions set out below.
Access
This eLearning activity is provided in an online format only and is available on the APS Learning Management System via the APS Online Learning Portal using a User ID and password, details of which are emailed to participants upon successful registration and receipt of payment of applicable fees.
Access to this activity will expire after the specified enrolment period that is calculated after the date of receipt of payment; this period is called the Enrolment Period.
A participant who does not successfully complete this activity within the enrolment period, may re-register for the activity which will require payment of a further fee.
The Head of APS Education & Training or delegate, in special circumstances may extend the registration period available to successfully complete the activity requirements.
Registration fees
The fee is set by the APS and may vary without notice. The fee payable will be the fee applicable at the time of registration.
The fee is not refundable or transferable.
Please print and keep your tax invoice/receipt for registration.
All prices listed on the application form include GST (as that term is defined in A New Tax System (Goods and Services Tax) Act 1999), unless specifically noted otherwise.
eLearning activity
The activity contains learning materials, learning guides, and other related activities, resources and readings presented in the form of modules and topics.
Participants are required to access all these resources and successfully complete an online assessment/assessments to pass.
Participants are required to successfully complete all components of the activity within one Registration Period in order to obtain a certificate of completion.
The assessment strategy deployed in this activity is both formative and summative which provides participants with an opportunity to test their understanding of the content. In order to successfully complete the summative assessment, participants must submit at least 80% correct responses for the assessment.
Participants have two attempts available for each summative assessment before an assisted reset is required.
The Head of APS Education and Training or delegate, in special circumstances may extend the number of attempts available to successfully complete required assessment tasks to three attempts.
Notification of completion
Upon successful completion of the activity requirements, participants are able to access and download a certificate of completion.
The APS Learning Management System will also retain a record of the results for a period of 12 months. Participants who require a further copy of their certificate of completion after the expiry of their Registration Period and within 12 months of completion of the activity, may request a copy by contacting the APS Professional development team.

The APS retains all intellectual property in the information provided on this website. This website is owned and operated by the APS, and material is protected by Australian and international copyright and trademark laws.
Users may not modify, copy, reproduce, republish, upload, post, transmit or distribute in any way any material from this website, including codes and software.
Information contained on this website is for personal use only and may not be sold or otherwise distributed. Users may download material from this website for their personal, non-commercial use only, provided that all copyright and other proprietary notices are kept intact.
This website must not be used for any purpose that is unlawful or prohibited by these terms and conditions.

The APS does not accept any legal liability or responsibility for any injury, loss or damage incurred by the use of, or reliance on, or interpretation of, the information contained in the learning material.
These terms and conditions do not exclude any warranties or liabilities that cannot be disclaimed under the Competition and Consumer Act (Cth) 2010 or similar State or Territory legislation. Otherwise, the APS excludes all warranties and liabilities that may be implied by law.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the APS's liability for breach of any implied warranty or condition in relation to services supplied or offered by the APS which cannot be excluded is restricted, at the APS's option, to supply of the services again, or the payment of the cost of supplying the services again.
General
Applicants should note that the provision of false or misleading information at the time of registration or thereafter for the purpose of financial gain is a serious offence.
The APS may in its sole discretion, refuse to provide services to applicants if applicants breach these terms and conditions.
These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Victoria and all users of this website, and the activity, irrevocably and unconditionally submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.
If any of these terms and conditions should be determined to be illegal, invalid, or otherwise unenforceable, it shall be severed and deleted from the terms and conditions and the remaining terms and conditions shall survive, remain in full force, and effect and continue to be binding and enforceable.
Privacy Statement
The APS is committed to protecting privacy and the confidentiality and security of the personal information provided to it. Any personal information provided to the APS in the process of applying for or completing an eLearning activity will be used to process registration; and if a pass result is attained, where appropriate and specified, to notify the relevant bodies of the pass result.
Pursuant to its contractual obligations with the National E-Health Transition Authority, the APS may be required to provide access to personal information to the Commonwealth Auditor General, the Privacy Commissioner, the Ombudsman, or a delegate of the National E-Health Transition Authority.
We may also be required to disclose participant personal information to our professional advisers, including auditors.
Applicants may access their personal information held by the APS, subject to the exceptions in the Privacy Act 1988, and to correct any information which is incorrect. Please contact the APS with any such request.
