Dr Gorica Micic is a clinician-researcher with an endorsement in Clinical Psychology. Her research is focussed on sleep, circadian rhythms (body clocks), insomnia and their overlap with mental health. She holds the role of Research Fellow at the Adelaide Institute for Sleep Health, Flinders Health and Medical Research Institute and is at the forefront of pioneering sleep medicine research that bridges the gap between clinical practice and scientific inquiry.

Her expertise in both research and clinical psychology explores the underlying causes of sleep and circadian rhythms, and developing innovative treatments that address the intersection between sleep disorders and mental health. As a practicing Clinical Psychologist, she brings a holistic approach to her research, applying evidence-based findings to enhance patient care and well-being.

Her commitment to improving the understanding and treatment of sleep disorders is underscored by her leadership in a clinic that serves as a bridge between cutting-edge research and real-world clinical applications. She and her team have attracted >$2.8M in research funding. She has published >50 peer reviewed journal articles and book chapters, and is the recipient of >18 academic honours and awards. She holds the Australian Psychological Society board-approved supervisor status and supervises students throughout their undergraduate and postgraduate degrees.
