A/Prof. Kelly-Ann Allen is an Associate Professor, Educational and Developmental Psychologist, and DECRA Fellow at Monash University, with a research focus on the psychology of belonging. Her work seeks to enhance understanding of how belonging impacts wellbeing, particularly in educational and organisational contexts. Invested in making psychological science accessible, she has published widely for both academic and general audiences, using platforms like The Conversation and Psychology Today, as well as through media interviews and podcasts. Dr. Allen led the publication An Academic's Guide to Social Media: Learn, Engage, and Belong, aimed at helping researchers effectively communicate their work to broader audiences. She also founded the Global Belonging Collaborative, a consortium focused on research translation related to belonging. Dr. Allen's advocacy for making psychological science accessible is reflected in her editorship of The Educational and Developmental Psychologist, where she aims to bridge the gap between research and impactful outcomes.
