Guidelines for the reproduction of APS publications

Reproduction for the purposes of class study

The APS considers requests for reproduction of works for the explicit purpose of distribution to, or access by, students. Permission to reproduce is limited to a specified period and number of students. Works must be reproduced in their original form.

Reproduction of APS information sheets

The APS aims to ensure that all material published in information (tip) sheets is accurate, current and evidence-based. Some APS information sheets are designed for members to distribute to clients. Information sheets for clients cannot be reproduced; however, interested parties can create a link from their own website to the relevant section of the APS website.

Reproduction of publications

The APS does not permit reproduction of certain publications, except where permission has been granted, determined on a case-by-case basis. These publications include, but are not limited to:

  • APS Code of Ethics
  • APS Ethical Guidelines
  • Evidence-based Psychological Interventions: A Literature Review
  • Other APS resources

Reproduction of works for inclusion in textbooks, or other sources published for the intention of profit

The APS may, at its discretion, grant permission for the reproduction or modification of format of its works for a fee, determined on a case-by-case basis, following receipt of a request.
