I am a Clinical Psychologist in Heathmont, Victoria. I enjoy working with you to discover what you need, and how to get those needs met. This often involves learning new skills to manage our emotions and relationships more effectively, and for some, will also mean processing the events and memories that are driving your distress. Both are important.
I use modalities that are helpful for building insight, changing unhelpful patterns, building emotional regulation skills, building self-compassion, and healing from painful wounds and memories. These include Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR), and Mindful Self-Compassion. I can also work with people who are looking for a psychologist who understands and is equipped to work with their faith perspective. This can involve using your faith as a resource in therapy, and/or working through religious trauma.
