My journey as a health professional has been diverse and varied across group fitness, mental health nursing, pharmaceuticals, small business, and now as a registered psychologist with an interest in chronic / persistent pain education and management.
My clinical experience working within a multidisciplinary persistent pain program inspired me to understand more about chronic pain and bioplasticity. Alongside clinical practice I am currently undertaking a two-year Professional Certificate in Pain Sciences.
"Pain is a protective mechanism of the brain and not necessarily an indicator of tissue damage." (Professor Lorimer Moseley). At Pain Psychology we learn how to influence the way pain is processed in our brain and we practice what we have learnt.
