Braden is a clinical psychologist with experience in public, private and academic sectors. He moved to Townsville in 2011, just before commencing his professional studies in psychology. He completed his Bachelor of Psychology with Honours followed by a Master of Psychology in Clinical Psychology at James Cook University in 2017. He is currently a PhD candidate with Central Queensland University.



Braden's clinical and research interests are in the fields of youth mental health and complex trauma. He is experienced in treating conditions arising from trauma including mood and anxiety disorders, PTSD, Complex PTSD and Borderline Personality Disorder.



Braden is a psychodynamic psychotherapist and his methods are predominantly influenced by theorists including Sigmund Freud, Irvin Yalom and Otto Kernberg. He is also an experienced cognitive-behavioural therapist.
