Alex is passionate about working flexibly with people to assist them in better understanding their emotions and relationships, and to cultivate habits that can lead to a greater sense of personal happiness and fulfilment. Alex places a persons values at the centre of her conversations with them, as these will guide the therapy process to a place that will be most beneficial for them. Alex has advanced training and experience working with Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and also draws on methods from a number of other therapy styles where appropriate. Alex has worked with people from across the lifespan who were experiencing difficulties with anxiety and mood disorders, complex trauma, adjustment difficulties, relationship problems, grief, occupational problems and family conflict.
