My approach is based upon developing an understanding of the individual and building a safe therapeutic relationship. My therapeutic style is authentic and empathic, and I use a range of approaches including Internal Family Systems Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy, Attachment-based therapies and Trauma informed treatment. I have a special interest in treating complex and long-term issues related to self-identity/self-esteem, perfectionism, relationship and attachment issues, complex trauma, attachment trauma, and emotion-related difficulties. I am a board-approved supervisor and offer supervision to registered psychologists, provisional psychologists, and clinical psychology registrars who wish to have a space to reflect on and discuss their work with clients and address professional issues. I believe a safe and supportive supervision relationship is essential for psychologists to develop their own sense of professional identity and to have their individual supervision needs met.
