Prof Gemma Sharp is a clinical psychologist whose therapeutic approach is warm, empathetic and non-judgemental. She is committed to helping clients gain an understanding of their challenges and develop new skills so they can lead fulfilling lives.
Gemma works with adults of all ages experiencing a range of health and psychological issues including eating disorders, body image issues, body dysmorphic disorder, trauma and PTSD, personality disorders, depression, anxiety, OCD, perfectionism, grief and loss, women's health, and relationship issues.
She utilises a range of evidence-based therapies, tailored to suit the goals of clients. These include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Enhanced Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT-E) for eating disorders, Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD, Schema Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) principles.
