Dr Philip Walsh   MAPS

Medicare Clinical Psychologist Provider

Telehealth available

I am a clinical psychologist with over 20 years of experience and extensive post-doctoral training in psychotherapy. My therapeutic work is of a deeper nature, revolving around issues of the self; the belief systems, emotions and patterns that have been created consciously and unconsciously that become problematic and tend to repeat. This deeper work is about understanding the unconscious part of the self which is where internal conflicts and developmental problems reside. Issues related to anxiety, depression, boundaries, identity, lack of direction and lack of meaning and purpose are often manifestations of these deeper issues. Psychotherapy is about becoming able to emotionally process your life and come to terms with it. It is a space and therapeutic relationship that assists in getting to know your internal world and core sense of self. This process facilitates growth and development. I provide both long-term and short-term therapy and work with respect and sensitivity.
