I am a clinical psychologist and psychotherapist working with adults and youth in the Northern Rivers region of NSW. With 25-years experience, I have worked in diverse roles and settings, including: academic lecturer, trainer, researcher-consultant, and clinical psychologist in private practice.
There is no one size fits all therapy. I adapt the therapy to your evolving needs and feedback. My approach to therapy is integrative drawing on contemporary cognitive and behavioural therapies such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). I also draw from systemic, psychodynamic and Buddhist psychologies.
Above all else, the foundation of the therapeutic relationship is a human interaction that offers the potential for deeper insight and acceptance of our shared and flawed humanity.
Therapy can teach us to hold our stories of self and other lightly and be more at ease with uncertainty and paradox.
