Webinar (Live) Event

VIC CCN Case Conference #2

Overview

The Victorian CCN is delighted to offer another opportunity for members to engage in case discussion. This is the second time such an event has been offered and pending further interest, these presentations will occur on a regular basis and members can nominate themselves. Case discussion will involve a member presenting a case of interest (similar to ground-round presentation) following case discussion. It is emphasised that this is not meant to replace formal supervision and rather to provide members the opportunity to learn from unique and rare cases.

The current case will be an adult with mental health and trauma history, as well as a genetic condition referred for neuropsychological assessment for diagnostic clarification, cognitive characterisation and treatment planning.

Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of this event, participants should be able to:

  • Understand the role of clinical neuropsychology in tertiary adult mental health settings
  • Learn about the neuropsychiatric presentation of a genetic condition
  • Understand the complexities of working with individuals with neuropsychiatric conditions

Presenter(s)

Ms. Marcia Chew

About the presenter(s)

Marcia Chew is a mid-career clinical neuropsychologist who works part-time at Mercy Mental Health & Wellbeing Services and Alfred Health (general medicine inpatient setting). CPD

It is up to attendees to assess and determine how learning from this event aligns with the requirements of their learning plan. The providers accordingly do not make any representation that the event counts towards attendees’ CPD learning requirements. If an attendee determines themselves that the learning they complete aligns to their learning plan, then they can decide to count those hours towards their CPD requirements for the registration cycle.
