Associate Professor Jason Lodge
Distinguished Contribution to Psychological Education Award

A/Prof Jason Lodge MAPS is Associate Professor of Educational Psychology in the School of Education at The University of Queensland (UQ). Jason has made significant contributions to psychological education over a 20-year career. His teaching and mentorship have reached over 6,000 students and more than 50 research candidates, many of whom have gone on to make significant contributions to psychology and education in Australia.

Jason's integration of psychological science into higher education has led to the development of innovative learning experiences and teaching practices. His courses are known for their effective design and use of learning analytics, setting a high standard in digital learning environments at UQ. Through his numerous leadership roles, including as former Coordinator of the APS Psychology Education Interest Group, Jason has guided and supported many academics, impacting the field of psychological education both in Australia and internationally. His leadership has been instrumental in shaping educational policies and standards, particularly in relation to online learning and in response to generative artificial intelligence.
