Administration

  1. T&F will sponsor the award and we will rename the award - APS Altmetrics Award (sponsored by Taylor & Francis) 
  2. APS Altmetrics Award (sponsored by T&F) recognises the first author of an article in one of the APS’ journals published by T&F with the highest Altmetric Attention Score. 
  3. T&F is responsible for tracking and reporting the Altmetrics scores to the APS and for funding this annual Award.
  4. The APS is responsible for contacting the winner of the Award and for transferring the prize money to the winner after 31 May each year.
  5. There will be one (1) prize across the APS journals published by Taylor & Francis:
    1. the Australian Journal of Psychology,
    2. the Australian Psychologist, 
    3. the Clinical Psychologist,
    4. and the Educational and Developmental Psychologist.
  6. Eligibility:
    1. Candidates need not be members of the Society.
    2. Candidates need not be citizens or residents of Australia. 
    3. Candidates must be the first author of the published article.
  7. The prize will be awarded to the eligible article with the highest Altmetric score recorded on 1 May, as calculated by Taylor & Francis, for articles  published in the previous calendar year.
  8. The winning article will be announced on each of the journals’ webpages and the article will be available to download for free for 12 months. 
  9. The first APS Altmetrics Award (sponsored by Taylor & Francis) will be awarded in May 2021.
