"Human-AI collaboration: Building an intelligent future workforce"

3.15pm - 4.15pm, Friday 30 July 2021 | Live only

Presentation summary

It is predicted that using Artificial Intelligence (AI) at a larger scale will boost the global economy by $15.7trn by 2030. Given these numbers, it’s no surprise that organisations are increasingly putting more effort into automating tasks and making AI a part of the decision-making process. What are the implications of this increasing use of AI? Will it lead to a zero-sum game where it’s either AI or man that will do the job? I will discuss that the polarizing manner in approaching AI as the new employee is not the way forward if we want to create a truly intelligent future workforce that will be more efficient but at the same time humane. I’ll identify a third way, which I call the idea of Triple AI, where AI will become a co-worker and in tandem with humans a different and augmenting approach will emerge to create value.
