Closes 29 May 2026
What is this project about?
This study is examining how male psychologists and therapists understand the relationship between gender, professional identity and clinical practice. We’re interested in what they’ve learned about masculinity through their practice and how being male themselves affects their therapeutic work.
Who is eligible to participate?
Male therapists (psychologists, counsellors, psychotherapists) with at least five years of experience working with men.
What does participation involve?
Participants will have one interview lasting about an hour (though some prefer to talk longer). The conversations will be relaxed and open-ended, focusing on experiences and insights. All interviews will be recorded and transcribed, but de-identified.
