Bendi Lango initiative

The Bendi Lango initiative was established by the Australian Psychological Society to support postgraduate psychology students of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander descent in difficult financial circumstances. The initiative aims to increase the number of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander psychologists and facilitate their contribution to the health and wellbeing of Indigenous communities.

Charlie Perkins Scholarship Trust

The Charlie Perkins Scholarship Trust offers two annual scholarships to talented Indigenous Australians for postgraduate study at either the University of Oxford or University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom. The scholarships are directed at Indigenous Australians who have the potential to become leaders in their chosen fields and in their communities.

Applications for 2016 are now open. Applications close on Monday 14 December 2015.

 


The Puggy Hunter Memorial Scholarship Scheme (PHMSS)

The Puggy Hunter Memorial Scholarship Scheme has been established to help address the under-representation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in health professions and assist in increasing the number of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people with professional health qualifications.

Applications for study in 2016 are now closed. It is anticipated that the next application round for study in 2017 will open in the August - September period of 2016. Dates will be announced closer to the time.
