RSS (Real Simple Syndication) is a web standard for publishing regular updates of web-based content. It allows you to identify the content you like and have it delivered directly to you. It takes the hassle out of having to go from site to site to find the latest updates.
The first thing you need is something called an RSS news reader, and there are two main types of readers - installable desktop programs and web-based services.
There are many readers available. Different readers work on different operating systems, so you will need to take this into account. Some browsers, including Inernet Explorer v7, Firefox, Opera and Safari, have functionality that automatically displays RSS feeds. For more details on these, please check their websites.
Here are some RSS news reader suggestions to get you started:

Once you have installed the reader or subscribed to a web-based reader follow its instructions to subscribe to the Events Calendar RSS feed.
Copy and paste this URL of the RSS feed into your news reader.
www.psychology.org.au/Events.xml
(Please note: Internet Explorer version 6 and below will not display RSS / XML files. To view the RSS / XML when using IE, right click the link or the orange button and save the RSS file to your computer. You can then open it in a text editor or other program.)
