About the expert:
Dr Carlo DiClemente is professor of psychology and director of the MDQUIT Tobacco Resource Centre and HABITS laboratory at the University of Maryland – Baltimore County, in the USA. He is co-developer of the Transtheoretical Model of behaviour change, which has revolutionised understanding of how to change just about any type of addictive habit or behaviour. He is the author of numerous scientific publications, as well as the self-help book, Changing for Good.
