Psychologists are experts in human behaviour.

They study the way that people think, feel, learn and behave and use this expertise to develop evidence-based strategies and interventions to help people overcome challenges and lead happier, healthier and more productive lives.

Psychology spans the fields of health, welfare, business, sport and academic research. The APS draws on the expertise of its more than 21,000 members and through its Public Interest team promotes the insights and solutions that psychology can bring to issues of concern in Australia.
