The Dulwich Centre is one of the key Narrative Therapy organisations in Australia. Bringing them to regional NSW allows access to their expertise for the benefits of practitioners and clients. The Dulwich Centre describes Narrative Therapy as:

"Narrative therapy seeks to be a respectful, non-blaming approach to counselling and community work, which centres people as the experts in their own lives. It views problems as separate from people and assumes people have many skills, competencies, beliefs, values, commitments and abilities that will assist them to reduce the influence of problems in their lives".

Learning outcomes

Particpants will:

- learn about how to integrate Narrative Therapy into their practice

- have a greater understanding of the tools and techniques of Narrative Therapy

- learn about the principles underlying Narrative Therapy

About the presenter(s)

Sekneh is a psychologist from Sydney who’s been a long-term teacher on the Dulwich Centre faculty. She teaches on the Master of Narrative Therapy and Community Work program, as well as presents workshops around Australia and internationally
